White heat emboss Christmas background

Welcome back, today I am doing my last Christmas card for the year 2015. Looking back on the year, I have some great times, some wonderful times and most of all I had an awesome time discovering my new craft hobby. I love I get to be creative, at the same time, bring about the fun of coloring, stamping and creating. I am an adult, at times, I just want to be a kid. You recall when you were younger, you can’t wait to grown up and do some grown up stuff, like drive a car, go on a holiday with your friends, eating out at amazing restaurants. I was that kid once but now, if I can, I want to be a kid again. And I will surely pay attention during art class… ha..ha..ha…

Back to today’s card, here I have for you a white heat emboss background on watercolor paper and blending my Pumice Stone Distress Ink to get a soft greyish sky. I first stamp my watercolor paper with snow flakes in different sizes using Versa Mark and heat emboss it in white embossing powder. I got these snow flakes from my Lawn Fawn stamp set.

Next, I used my mini ink blending tool and blending Pumice Stone from the corner inwards, I want to create a soft greyish snowy sky look so I have to be careful not to put too much ink on the center of the card. When blending was done, I sprinkled some water to the card and pick it up using a paper towel. This is a technique I learned from Kristina Werner and it is awesome with Distress Inks. Go check out her blog and you will be amazed by her talent.

Now for the sentiment, I used my Clearly Besotted Laugh Out Loud Christmas set, this stamp set by far, have been my favorite go-to stamp set for Christmas sentiments. I stamp the sentiment in Versa Mark as well, and heat emboss it in Ranger Liquid Platinum on vellum. I then run the vellum through my die cutting machine to get this rectangle stitch border.

I did another layer, using read card stock and adhere that to the back of my vellum. I then added a nice small bow using red& white twine, and finish off with some Ranger Liquid Pearls in Rose Gold on both side of the sentiment.

This card was done within an hour and it was out in the mail after that. That wraps up my Christmas card for the year.

Till then, it is  time to start wrapping presents, preparing for a nice Christmas feast and have a great time connecting with family & friends again. Let’s keep.intouched.
