Die cut & Copic coloring

I first worked on this card in August when I had lots of upcoming birthdays. For this card, I did die cutting, Copic coloring, and background stamping.

12338800_1662995867307278_958418069_nI started with the background, using a large background stamp from Hero Arts Cling Background stamp. I used this  background before in a previous post to create an multi-color background, you can find the post here. I inked the background stamp using Versafine Toffee color, and stamp it on a cocoa color card stock. This is to create a soft yet subtle background design.

I then die cut the happy birthday sentiment using my Simon Says Stamp Birthday Circle die and stamp my Penny Black Micey Day stamp set on white color card stock. I color in with my favourite Copic markers and took another circle die that fits the inner circle of my Simon Says Stamp Birthday Circle die cut. I then place both these die cut piece and the circle stamped image pieces together and adhere them on the cocoa card.

I finish off with a bit of clear Wink of Stella to add some shine to the ballons, the present and the flowers.

I hope you like my card and let’s keep.intouched via Instagram.
